My weekend

       On December twelve, I went to my friends house for a sleepover it was her birthday, it started at six pm. I was cleaning my room and took a shower before I went to her house. I went to her house and then two minutes later my other friend came. My friends mom took us to go get pizza. Then we watched a movie at her house, my other friend had brought jelly beans, thier is two jelly beans that look the same, but one of them is nasty. We played that game and then we sang happy birthday to my friend  my friend left after we sang the song. My friend and I went to sleep after, we slept late.

       The next morning my mom texted me if I wanted to go to the zoo and I said yes because I haven't been thier in a long time. My mom picked me up at ten pm from my friends house. We went with my moms friend. We went to her friends house and picked her up because we were going in one car. We got to the zoo, it was fun after the zoo we went to go eat tacos and then we came home. 

My cousins birthday party

   On December fifth two thousand fifthteen it was my cousins first birthday.when my parents woke up we went to go say happy birthday to my cousin. We were decorating outside and his theme was Mickey Mouse. When we were finished we got ready for the party. The party didn't start till three and it was my house.  When we were finished getting ready my two friends came, I invited them. They came in my house and we went to my room because their was no one outside. 

   Then my aunts and uncles came so I went outside to say hi. After me and my friends got pizza and a lot of people were coming already. It was eight pm so we hi the piñata, their was two of them. I got a lot and good candy. My friends left after that. Then they sang the happy birthday song, I missed it,I wasn't their to sing. My mom told me that he turned off the candle with his finger. Everyone was leaving and some people were dancing they had a DJ. I got tired so I went to my room and went to sleep. I had a good time. 

The fair/carnival

       On Sunday November eighth, my mom and I went to a fair. It was at a church. My mom invited her friend. We met them at the fair, when we got their, there was a lot of people. We entered and my mom got me twenty four tickets for the rides. On the first ride my mom went on it with me . It was fun when we got off the ride I went to another ride with my moms friend. It looked like a fairest wheel, but it had two in one ride. When we went on it, it took us to the top and we saw a pretty view it was kind of scary because we where high from the ground. After that ride we went to another two rides. Then we went to go eat at Taco Bell. After we went home, when we got home I went straight to my bed and went to sleep. I had a blast with my mom. 

My mom

     My mom had me when she was seventeen years old. Now she is thirty years old. She was born on May eight, nineteen eighty five. My moms height is five foot four,she is short. I think my mom and I are different. She loves fashion and shoes. I'm more simple,she loves collecting makeup and shoes. She's into scary movies and things, she loves Coke so much that she has to get one everyday. She likes to watch makeup tutorials on YouTube. She works as a dental assistant. She has siblings, a sister and a brother that are younger than her. My mom's funny and pretty. She liked to decorate the house when thier is a holiday. She loves the cold weather more than the heat. She has two nephews and one daughter which is me. She likes candles. Her favorite makeup store is ulta. Her favorite clothes store is love story in topanga mall. She loves having the house clean. She is the best mom ever,I love my mom.

Halloween

      On October thirst first two thousand fifth teen it was Halloween. I went trick or treating with my friend Shelley. I invited her to come to my house. When she came over we were watching movies and snapchating eat other. One hour passed and I told my mom that we were hungry. We went to Costco to get pizza but they only excepted cash, so we went to In N Out. We took it to go, when we got home we ate our food. After that I did shelleys batman makeup, and then my mom did mine, I was malephacent. My mom,Shelley and I went trick or treating around my block, we had a lot of candy by the time we got home. When we got home me and Shelley took off our make up. Then we ate some of our candy and we were snapchating until we fell asleep. I had a fun night with my friend Shelley .

Glowzone

Glowzone 

                    
      On the day before Friday October twenty third, my friend kaylah invited me  and two other friends to go to glowzone. So on that day I asked my mom if I can go to glowzone with my friends an she said yes, but I had to ask my dad. I didnt ask my dad because he was at work. So the next day on Friday, In The morning was getting ready to go to school. I went to school and the day went fast, we came out of school. I met my friend Kaylah at her locker and we were walking, waiting for my mom to pick up the phone and I asked her if I was going with my friend and she said yes, we were happy.

         Kaylahs mom picked me up with the two other girls. We went to her house and she had an office to do our homework. When we finished our homework we printed pictures out. I was in love with the pictures I printed out.After that Kaylah gave us a tour of her appartment. Then we went inside of her house and went in her room. One hour passed and kaylahs mom took us to glow zone.  I've never been to glowzone, when we got to glowzone it  looked fun inside. We only went their for one hour and then we went back to her house and her mom ordered pizza. We watched Cinderella and then the two girls left home and I was the only one. We played a bored game and then my mom came to pick me up. When I got home I put my printed pictures up and that was my day ,I had a lot of fun.

GIRAFFES

                       
                     Giraffes are my favorite animal. I think they are cute in everyway. Giraffes are the tallest mammals in the world, with even new-born babies being taller than most humans. Baby giraffes can stand within half an hour and after only ten hours can actually run alongside their family. Giraffes spend most of their lives standing up, they even sleep and give birth standing up. Giraffes only spend between ten minutes and two hours asleep per day. They have only one of the shortest sleep requirements of any mammal.
                     Giraffes are sociable, peaceful animals which rarely fight. Males do perform a behavior called "necking" where they will hit necks, however these encounters rarely last more than a couple of minutes and seldom result in injury. Just like snowflakes and human fingerprints, no two giraffes have the same spot pattern. Their tongues are huge, long ,and purple. In new age religion the giraffe is a symbol for intuition and flexibility. The name giraffe Camelopardails means "one who walks quickly" a camel marked like a leopard. Giraffes are every interesting.

My Scoliosis

                  
                      I was eleven and I was in fifth grade when I found out that I had scoliosis. How I found out that I had scoliosis was, one night it was really cold and my back was hurting a lot, so my mom took me to the doctors and he said that I have scoliosis and my mom and I didn't know what that was. Scoliosis is a disorder in which there is a side ways curve of the spine, or backbone. Curves are often s-shaped or c-shaped. This is known as idiopathic scoliosis. Girls are most likely than boys to have this type of scoliosis.
                     I have the s-shaped spine. My doctor told my mom and I to go see the orthopedic doctor. When I went to see the orthopedic doctor he told me and my mom that I have to wear a back brace so my back can go straight, if I don't wear the brace I can get a hump back and my spine can get worst and I'm going to have to get surgery and get a metal spine.
                    So now I wear a back brace. As I'm growing my back get straighter and better. It takes time for my back to get better, I have to do exercises that my doctor required me to do mornings  and nights. My back was getting better until this summer[ 2015] that passed I kept taking off my brace off cause it was to hot and I kept sweating, but I regret taking it off the whole time my back could have been better an now it just got more worst. I wear my brace to school, to go to sleep and pretty much the whole day, the only time I take it off is when I eat and when I take showers, also for p.e.  I go to the doctors every three months to check if my back is getting better by taking exrays. I hope my back get better and take this brace off soon.

                    Hi my name  is Cristal Cabrera-Herrera an I was born on August 11, 2002 in Northrige Hospital. My mom had me when she was seventeen years old. Now she is thirdy years old and im  thirteen. I went to Reseda elementary school. In third grade they held me back because I needed more help, so I repeaded third grade and it helped me a lot. I go to Portola middle school now and Im in seventh grade. I like to draw, so I joined an art class as an elective, its really fun. My favorite subject in school is math, but this year math class is hard for me. My least favorite subjects are English, History, and Science.
                  I live in a house with my grandparents, my aunt and uncles, with two baby cousins, and my parents. when im bored I just like to eat or hear music. My favorite store is hot topic, my favorite colors are blue an black, and my favorite celebrity is Cameron Dallas. I have scoliosis and braces. I want to be a veterinarian when I grow up.

Universal studios horror nights

         On Friday September 26, 2015 I went to universal horror nights. Ever year universal horror nights celebrates Halloween. This year their themes is based on horror movies and shows. At first I wasn't sure if I wanted to go or not because I was scared. Finally my mom convinced me to go. I went with my mom, aunt, my moms cousin and her two friends. I was so scared to go because the theme insidious was one of the themes and im scared of that movie. Their were like six mazes. The first maze that we went to was the purge. We walked to the purge maze and their was a little line so we went on the bus where it takes us to the maze quick. As we landed  they started scaring us, there was no way back so you were forced to continue walking forward till it ended. Everything looked so scary to me i though i wasn't going to be able to make it, we finally finished walking till the end. We took the bus back to be able to go to other mazes.
            Next stop was Insidious, that was the one i was most worried about. The lines were insane to get in it took us about an hour and twenty minutes to get there. When we were next i wanted to be in the middle of everyone, the song they were playing inside was just scary to me. As soon as we walk in they started  scaring us everyone was screaming we tried to walk fast but it seem forever. The maze it self was only about 3min it seem like hours to me. My mom was behind everyone since she wasn't scared of anything that she saw. As soon as we saw the light of the exit we ran. I actually enjoyed it, it was scary but fun.
             Then we went to a third maze the theme was the walking dead My moms favorite. the wait for that maze was even longer it took almost two hours to get in, by the time we got inside i was tired and ready to go home. This maze was one of the biggest of the park it had fourteen scary rooms. Everything seen so real. The walking dead is based on zombies, It was worth waiting that long. It was by far my favorite one.
             My mom tried going into a forth maze which was Michael Myers but i just couldn't wait anymore my feet were hurting so bad and i was sleepy, It was about one in the morning. My mom saw that i looked tired and said fine lets go home. My experience was great for it to be the first time and i wasn't as scared as i thought  i was going to be.

My cousins cri-du-chat syndrome

       In my blog I will be writing about my cousins syndrome called cri-du-chat. My cousin was born with a syndrome called cri-du-chat. Cri-du chat is a rare syndrome that is one in one hundred thousand cases. Cri-du-chat is known as 5p minus, it is a chromosomal condition that results when a piece of chromosome is missing. Infant with this condition often have a high pitched cry that sounds like a cat, which they call it cats cry also known as cri-du-chat. The disorder is characterized by intellectual disability and delayed development. They have a small head size, low birth weight, and weak muscle tone. They also have distinctive facial features, including widely set eyes, low set ears, small jaw and a rounded face. As he was growing up he had difficulties hearing, Dr recommended hearing aids. He also has had trouble on sitting on his own so he has his own therapist that come to the house to help with his movements. He has trouble eating so they have blend his food in order for him to be able to eat it.  My cousin jayden is now three years old, just started special education school. He also now got a special made walker to help with his walking. He doesn't speak so he has a speech therapy. Besides his syndrome he is a very happy baby, bring joy to everyone that lives with him. His a very loving boy and im proud to be his big cousin. I will always help him in anything he needs.
